How CaptionStudio auto captions work

CaptionStudio is an AI caption generator for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Hinglish video. It times every spoken word, then you edit the line, pick a style, and export in the browser.

1. Create a free account

Sign up with an email you control and confirm it. Free does not ask for a card. Paid plans are optional and billed in INR through Razorpay.

2. Upload the clip

Drop an MP4, MOV, or WebM. Choose the spoken language: Hinglish, Hindi, English, Spanish, Tamil, or auto-detect. Audio is extracted so the first spoken words are not lost.

3. Words get timestamps

A speech engine returns the words and the time each one starts and ends. CaptionStudio groups those words into short lines meant for a Reel or Short, usually a few words at a time, and splits on a pause or punctuation.

4. Edit, then export

Fix a name, split a phrase, move the caption, and pick a style such as stacked pop, karaoke, pills, or a plain lower-third. Then export. Free exports include a watermark. Creator and Pro Max export clean.

What is stored where

Captions and styles stay in this browser, so a refresh keeps the project. If the video file itself drops, reattach it with Link media and the captions remain. Read the privacy policy for the speech engine and payment details.

Speech engines miss names, noise, and overlapping talk. Read the transcript before you post. CaptionStudio does not guarantee a perfect caption.
